Csodálatosan enyhe reggel az Arktiszon – mindössze -15° Celsius! Egy nagy kutatószervezethez tartozol, amely több állomás között oszlik meg. Az IMB-Q-12-es részleg részeként a klímaváltozást kutatod a North Pole-ban. Minden szigorúan titkos, és fogalmad sincs, hogy mi a többi csapat küldetése. Az IMB-Q-13-as részlegből például hetek óta semmit sem láttak és hallottak.
Hirtelen megszólal a kiürítési riasztó! Az ajtóhoz rohansz, de az már automatikusan bezáródott. = Az ablakon keresztül láthatod, ahogy a többi állomásról érkező kollégáid a helikopterekhez rohannak. Egyedül maradsz a fagyos sarkvidéken…
Egy szellőzőaknán keresztül bemászol egy szomszédos állomásra. Az ajtó ismét zárva van. A labor romokban hever, és azon tűnődsz, mi történhetett itt. Aztán találsz egy jegyzetfüzetet és egy furcsa lemezt. A szobában mindent számozott zárak zárnak. Aztán rájössz, hogy csak akkor tudsz megszökni, ha időben rájössz az összes zárat kinyitó kódra. Ha nem, akkor ez lesz a keserű (hideg) véged.

A wonderfully mild morning in the Arctic — only -15° Celsius! You belong to a large research organization, which is divided between several stations. As part of Division IMB-Q-12, you are researching climate change at the North Pole. Everything is strictly secret and you have no idea what the missions of the other teams are.
