Belépés a ködbe
A Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft a Dungeons & Dragons 5. kiadás egyik legsötétebb hangulatú kiegészítője, amely Ravenloft rémálomszerű vidékeire kalauzol. A ködbe burkolózó Domains of Dread egyszerre gótikus horror, túlélődráma és természetfeletti rejtély: a háttérben hírhedt Darklordok mozgatják a szálakat, miközben vámpírok, zombihordák, kozmikus rettenetek és más lidérces fenyegetések teszik próbára a kalandozókat. A kötet különösen erős választás lehet azoknak, akik a klasszikus hősi fantasy mellé nyomasztóbb, történetközpontú kampányhangulatot keresnek.
Mit kínál ez a kiegészítő?
A könyv mesélőknek és játékosoknak is ad kapaszkodókat. Nemcsak visszahozza Ravenloft kibővített Domains of Dread helyszíneit az ötödik kiadásba, hanem új lehetőségeket is nyit saját horror-tematikájú kampányok felépítéséhez. A hangsúly az atmoszférán, a történeti horgokon és a karakterek sötétebb oldalán van, így különösen jól működik one-shotokhoz, minikampányokhoz vagy hosszabb, komorabb hangvételű történetekhez is.
- Kibővített Domains of Dread, ismerős és új helyszínekkel.
- Mesélői eszközök és tanácsok egyedi domainek és Darklordok megalkotásához.
- Horrorhangulatú bestiárium különféle rémségekkel és ellenfelekkel.
- Új történeti ötletek és kampánytestreszabási lehetőségek.
- Új kaland, amely jól illeszkedik a kötet sötét tónusához.
- Karaktervonalak: dhampi, hexblood és reborn.
- Dark Gifts opciók a karakterek hátterének és hangulatának mélyítéséhez.
- Két új alosztály: College of Spirits a bárdoknak és Undead pact a warlockoknak.
- Új hátterek és horror témájú csecsebecsék.
Kinek ajánlott?
Ideális lehet tapasztalt mesélőknek, akik saját Domains of Dread környezetet építenének, de jó választás olyan csapatoknak is, akik először merülnének el Ravenloft világában. Játékosoldalon azok találhatnak benne sok inspirációt, akik szeretik a morális dilemmákat, a komor karakteríveket és a kétélű, tiltott erőkkel való játékot. Ha a D&D 5. kiadásban egy emlékezetesen sötét, mégis sokoldalúan formálható horrorélményt keresel, ez a kötet értékes kiegészítése lehet a gyűjteménynek.
