There are so many board games, and not every game will be the right fit for everyone. The best way to decide is to try it at home with the people you will actually play it with.
How can you decide which game is right for you?
A board game works best when it fits the players, the occasion and the mood of the group. That is why we give you the opportunity to try the selected game at home, in a real playing situation.
Can every game be tried?
All of our base games can be taken home. If we do not have an opened copy, we will open one for you, provided that we have more than one copy in the store. This option does not apply to expansions, individual logic games or legacy-type games.
How does rental work?
Leave the deposit
As a deposit, you leave the current discounted opened-copy price of the game or games. When you return them, we deduct the rental fee from this amount.
Return it within one week
The rental fee covers 168 hours and equals 10% of the original price of the game. If needed, the rental period can be extended for the same weekly 10% fee.
Important: the deposit cannot be paid by bank card.
Before taking a game home, please check that all components are present and that nothing is damaged. We also check every game when it is returned. If the game is incomplete or damaged, you will be required to purchase it.
If you like the game you tried, you can buy it
Every opened game has a current discounted purchase price, which you will also find on the trial sheet. This price applies to the exact copy you are trying. If you would like to keep it, you do not have to pay the rental fee, and you do not even need to come back to the store: simply call us or send us an email to let us know that you would like to buy it.
